Wilton White Frosting

Want to try decorating a cake. Wilton has many ideas and is easy to find on the Internet. I tried my hand at decorating, but found I ate too many of my mistakes! The frosting is very good and gives the cake a smooth finish.

TWO-LAYER CAKE
WITH DECORATIONS

1 cup butter
1 cup shortening

6 cups confectionery sugar, sifted

2 tsp. vanilla

In a large mixing bowl, blend butter and shortening on medium speed of electric mixer.

Turn mixer on low and gradually add confectionery sugar; mix on medium speed until well blended.

Add vanilla.

Turn mixer on high and beat until light and fluffy.

NOTE: This frosting is used to frost cakes and also good for cake decorating.
